As soon as the Wrath of the Lich King expansion came out, leveling death knight became my first priority. Death knight is a new hero class added from the expansion. The story of the new expansion is set in the northrend where the lich king controls a powerful army, the death knights who proved both of their strength and abilities during the Third War.
Death knight is ideal for tanking as the interview with Blizzard pointed out. They believe tanking roles are essential for team and group raids. Adding a new tank class will complement the exsisting tank classes and at the same time provide a unique playing experience. For example, one interesting difference between death knights and other tanking classes, like druid, warrior or paladin is that they don’t use shields. They are fierce and tough melee fighters who are also proficient in spells.
How is leveling a death knight different from leveling hunter, leveling mage or leveling rogue? First of all, the death knight quests are quite unique and entertaining. The death knight leveling talent build also requires special attention. There are many wow death knight leveling guides out there. I have personally tried several. Some of them are actually pretty good; they explains the death knight pvp, pve gears and strategies pretty well. There is also a big difference between alliance leveling guides and horde leveling guides. A good wow death knight guide covers both of them thoroughly. You can choose Frost, blood or unholy leveling specs. Each have their own advantages and disadvantages.
If you haven’t try out the new class yet, I have recommend you to give it shot. Leveling Death Knight to level 80s was very fun and entertaining for me. I also learned a lot along the way. Thanks Blizzard for this new expansion. Looking forward to see the future ones!
